Most of his works portray the Jewish Community in the Polish Shtetl. In 1931, at the age of 14, Professor Shaul Zilberstein (Sigmund Freud\u2019s student) visited Kazimierz and discovered Goldberg\u2019s paintings. This is how his artistic talent became known. With the rise of Nazism he escaped Poland and returned only after the war. In 1955 he immigrated to Israel and then to the United States.
